The Little Blue Parcel

This book nearly didn’t make it to print. The artwork was done, all the editing, fullstops and paragraph breaks were perfect and the design was finalised when the marketing department of the publisher said it was a book they couldn’t and wouldn’t sell, that it was too angry. After some negotiation a tiny print run was done. To the creative team’s delight The Little Blue Parcel was nominated for a CBCA award.

I love this book. Even though there’s darkness on some pages, the book is about nurturing the special gifts we hold within ourselves. That we are all unique and deserving of love.
